Here are our practical tips and some helpful information to know before you arrive to Croatia. Let us help you be prepared and informed on everything you need to know.

ATMs: ATMs can be found all around the country. All of them offer foreign language options and pay out Euro.

Exchanging Money: Foreign Exchange offices can be found throughout the country.

Credit Cards: Credit cards are widely used and accepted. Most hotels, car-rental agencies, shops, pharmacies, entertainment venues and restaurants accept Visa and MasterCard; Amex isn’t widely accepted and Diner’s is often not accepted.

Currency: Euro (EUR) is the official currency of Croatia.

Driving: Driving in Croatia is on the right, as in the continental Europe.

Emergency Number: Emergency Line is 112

Medical Treatment: it is advisable to take out medical insurance before traveling.

Pharmacies: Pharmacies are open Monday to Saturday from 08:00 to 20:00. Most of them are closed on Sundays, but there is always one pharmacy in an area that is open for 24 hours.

Time Zone: Time in Croatia is given by UTC+02:00 in summer time (from late March til late October).

Visa: Participants from outside the EU have to possess a passport valid for at least 6 months after the end of the Conference. Please check your visa requirements at the web-site of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

If an entry visa is required, please allow sufficient time for this procedure.
